Most of the time, we're seated right away or are told to pick any table of our choice. Although the restaurant's parking lot is fairly small, I almost always find a parking spot at dinnertime. I think this place might get most of their business from the local work force that is looking for a quick, inexpensive lunch. I think some families have stumbled upon this find, as it's getting busier at breakfast time. but that can be a good thing! Those ad campaigns that the major chain family restaurants run about meal specials attract crowds. The Grinder doesn't run big ad campaigns about meal specials on TV and in the newspapers. You might want to consider The Grinder if you don't want to wait for a table at Glendale's IHOP nor drive outside of Glendale to eat at other family-type restaurants like Ruby's, Denny's, Carrows, Coco's, Baker's Square, etc.
